U.S. Elogistics ASRS Racking Permit Design
Project Name
U.S. Elogistics | Bordentown, NJ
Market
Industrial / Warehouse / Logistics Automation
Service
Racking Permit Design & ASRS Code Coordination
U.S. Elogistics planned to install a new automated storage and retrieval system within a large existing warehouse facility in Bordentown, New Jersey. The facility is an approximately 806,000-square-foot warehouse, and the proposed work involved adding a new ASRS/racking system to support more efficient warehouse storage and order fulfillment operations.
Engineering Fire Protection, LLC helped prepare the racking engineering design package for the project. EFP’s scope included coordinating the permit application materials, reviewing the proposed ASRS/rack layout, and preparing structural engineering documents to support building permit submission. The permit package addressed the proposed warehouse racking arrangement, rack configuration, loading calculations, seismic calculations, structural anchorage details, special inspection requirements, and related information needed for jurisdictional review. EFP helped organize the technical information into a permit-ready format, supported the contractor and owner through the filing process, and helped establish a clear compliance path for installing the automated storage system within the existing warehouse. This support helped the project team reduce permitting uncertainty and move the warehouse automation upgrade forward more efficiently.
