The City of Long Beach’s approximately 243,000-square-foot municipal building at 125 Elm Avenue supports city operations and public services. Its existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems have been in service for many years, and the City is evaluating their condition and ongoing needs.

Engineering Fire Protection, LLC evaluated the existing fire sprinkler system, including its hydraulic performance and the potential effect of adding a backflow preventer. EFP also surveyed the existing fire alarm system to assess its condition and advise the City on potential modifications or replacement.

The evaluations help the City understand code compliance considerations, identify needed improvements, and select a practical, cost-effective approach to maintaining and upgrading its fire protection systems.
