Pearl Street Condominiums is a new six-story, approximately 46,000-square-foot mixed-use residential development in Framingham, Massachusetts, with ground-floor commercial space and residential condominium units above.

Engineering Fire Protection, LLC provided tier 1/tier 2 fire protection and fire alarm design services to support permitting and construction coordination. EFP’s scope included hydrant flow test, fire sprinkler system design, fire alarm system design, and construction administration support.

For a multi-story mixed-use residential project, the fire/life safety systems needed to be carefully coordinated with the architectural layout, residential unit plans, commercial space, elevator recall functions, sprinkler monitoring, notification appliances, and local permitting requirements. EFP helped establish a clear and coordinated design package for both fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, giving the owner, architect, and contractors a practical path for permit review, bidding, installation coordination, and final project delivery.
