Lecangs planned to install new warehouse racking systems within a large logistics facility in Ellabell, Georgia to support online retail storage and distribution operations. The project involved a major warehouse facility with approximately one million square feet of storage area, plus additional business/support space, making the racking installation a large-scale high-piled storage project requiring coordinated fire protection, life safety, and structural review.

Engineering Fire Protection, LLC provided fire code consulting and permit support services to help the client move the project through the local approval process. EFP prepared fire sprinkler system and commodity analysis, high-piled storage / life safety drawings, and coordinated with local code officials to support the high-piled storage/racking permit application. EFP also helped evaluate the existing ESFR sprinkler protection, proposed commodity classifications, rack layout, fire department access, egress paths, aisle arrangements, and operational storage limitations.

In addition to fire protection code consulting, EFP supported the project with racking engineering services, including rack structural engineering review and seismic calculation support for the proposed storage rack systems. This combined fire protection and structural permitting approach helped the client organize the technical documentation, address jurisdictional review expectations, and move forward with the warehouse racking installation more efficiently while maintaining a practical code-compliance path.
