JW Fulfillment ATL planned to install new high-piled storage racking within a large warehouse facility in Forest Park, Georgia to support online retail storage and distribution operations. The project involved a significant warehouse storage area of approximately 367,000 square feet, with proposed rack storage for household goods, outdoor and sports products, home furniture, and other boxed consumer products.

Engineering Fire Protection, LLC provided fire code consulting and permit support services to help the client move the racking project through the City of Forest Park approval process. EFP prepared the fire sprinkler system and commodity analysis, high-piled storage / life safety drawings, and coordinated with city code officials to support the building permit, high-piled storage permit, and inspection scheduling process. EFP also assisted with exit sign, emergency lighting, and ambient lighting design drawings, including support for the lighting permit application and inspection.

The project required a coordinated review of rack layout, storage height, commodity classification, egress, fire department access, lighting, and existing ESFR sprinkler protection. EFP helped demonstrate that the proposed storage configuration could be supported by the existing sprinkler system while also providing racking engineering support, including rack structural engineering review and seismic calculation coordination. This integrated approach helped the client organize permit documentation, reduce review uncertainty, and move the warehouse racking installation toward approval more efficiently.
