DynamiCure Biotechnology is a Waltham-based life sciences company focused on developing innovative therapeutic antibody candidates for cancer, autoimmune, and other diseases. As part of its laboratory operation in Waltham, Massachusetts, the company needed fire code and hazardous materials consulting support related to chemical storage and the local flammable storage permitting process.

Engineering Fire Protection, LLC provided professional fire protection consulting services to help the client evaluate laboratory chemical storage compliance under the Massachusetts Comprehensive Fire Safety Code. EFP reviewed the laboratory’s hazardous materials inventory, storage arrangement, and applicable code requirements, then prepared a signed and sealed engineering compliance letter to support the permit submission.

The project required a practical compliance review because biotechnology laboratories often store a mix of flammable liquids, corrosives, toxic materials, oxidizers, and chemical waste. EFP helped the client organize the code approach, document that the reviewed chemical quantities were within applicable Maximum Allowable Quantity limits, and provide a clear engineering basis for flammable storage permit application with the Waltham Fire Department.
